Israel Garza Lopez is a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences specialized in Physics. In 1969 he graduated with a bachelor degree from the School of Physics and Mathematics of the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon.
He obtained a specialty in Nivelación Pedagogica (Pedagogical Alignment) on upper intermediate education in 1972. He also studied a master’s degree in teaching sciences specialized in Physics, in the School of Philosophy and Literature of UANL, obtaining his degree in 1999 . He has worked large part of his life at the School of Physics and Mathematics, in different positions such as:
- Coordinator of Physics Academy; in the period of February 1974 to February 1978 and from November 1983 to November 1989.
- Academic Secretary from February 1978 to February 1979 and also from May 1922 to December 2001.
- Deputy Director from January 1981 to August 1983.
- Assistant Dean for Public Relations from November 1989 to May 1992.
Today, he is in charge of a services and academic support area for professors and students, his functions are related to the use of technologies within the process of learning, teaching educational aspects in a distance learning program and the use of the Blackboard and Experimental physics training.
He has participated in local congresses, both national and international. Most of them related to the development of Physics, Mathematics and Teaching methods in these sciences. Since the beginning and throughout his 42 years of academic and administrative experience, the teacher Garza Lopez has been distinguished for being a person with a constant self-improvement and dedication, in service to the progress of our School. Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, through the University Senate named him Emeritus Professor on September 14, 2006.
Israel Garza Lopez is a great university professor, and the School of Physics and Mathematics is grateful for his development and self-improvement.
