He earned a bachelor’s degree of physics at the School of Physics and Mathematics in 1970.
His post-graduate education was taken in Canada. In 1973 he got a Master of Science in Geophysics at the Department of Physics in University of Toronto.
His published works are "An E-M Sounding-profiling Method for Quasistratified Terrain", published in a magazine named Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists in 1973. "Introducción a los métodos eléctricos de Geofísica," finished in 1979 and published internationally in the School of Physics and Mathematics from UANL; since then it is used as one of the notes in the field of Geophysics curriculum. "Obtención de biogás a partir de desechos orgánicos", Science magazine of SEP (Department of Education) "Modelado gravimétrico para cuerpos bidimensionales," published internationally in the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Estudios Superiores de Ensenada (CICESE) in 1987. "Método para modelar anomalías de resistividad y polarización inducida mediante potenciales logarítmicos”, published in the journal International Geophysics in 1989. Also, he made three presentations of his field of specialization.
His teaching experience includes 27 years as professor in Physics and Geophysics at the School of Physics and Mathematics as well as guest teacher in the Graduate Department at the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Estudios Superiores de Ensenada, in1986.
He held several management positions; among these we can mention; dean of School of Physics and Mathematics, from October 1974 to July 1978 and Director of the Center of Physics and Mathematics Research, from September 1978 to March 1983. He has been founder and coordinator of the Geophysics Research Division of School of Physics and Mathematics of the UANL, as well as Coordinator for the Design and Construction of Physics Laboratory equipment.
We give today a fair recognition to Comparan Elizondo for his contribution and his constant struggle to maintain the development of our institution.
