Jaime Navarro Cuevas was born on February 16 in 1940, in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. His professional studies culminated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, which he obtained at the Universidad de Nuevo Leon in 1964. Later he earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Development at the Universidad de Monterrey in 1983. He is author of 17 Mathematics books and 5 manuals for teacher’s didactic training.
Navarro held some management positions throughout his career: he was a professor at the School of Physics and Mathematics of Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon from 1964 to 1973, then he was named Dean of the same School from 1967 to 1969. Also, he was the Director of Project 2000 in the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education) from 1980 to 1985, where he is currently working.
At present time, he is member of "The Creative Education Foundation" at the University of Buffalo in New York. He is also consultant on several Mexican companies including: Grupo Alfa, Grupo Visa, Grupo Vitro, Grupo Cydsa, Grupo Gis, Kir Alimentos and Grupo Gamesa. Outside the country, he is a consultant in training of instructors of Instituto Universitario de Tecnología de Caracas and the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral Del Guayaquil, Ecuador.
